TRAINING AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER

JOB OVERVIEW

The Training and Compliance Manager plays a critical role in advancing the capabilities and compliance of our residential operations team. Reporting to the Director of Multifamily Operations, this position is responsible for developing and overseeing training programs, ensuring compliance with operational processes, and maintaining the effectiveness of training tools and records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training and development, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering growth and ensuring compliance across all residential operations. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess dynamic public speaking skills to effectively engage larger audiences and will be adept at embracing various forms of technology to accommodate different learning styles, including in-person coaching, large audience presentations, and digital deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Training and Development Oversight: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive training programs to enhance employee performance and support growth within residential operations. Maintain training records and tools to ensure effectiveness and accessibility.
  • New Hire Training and Onboarding: Manage the training and coordination of new hires, including assigning peer mentors to provide support and guidance. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new associates.
  • Companywide Training Coordination: Schedule and coordinate companywide training initiatives, including professional development, skill development, and training for new leasing agents, assistant property managers, managers, and maintenance professionals.
  • Ongoing Education and Certification Tracking: Monitor and track ongoing and continued education and certifications across the company to ensure employees meet necessary qualifications and professional development goals.
  • Management and Supervisory Training: Provide training on management and supervisory roles, including guidelines, expectations, and best practices. Teach teams the "Rookwood Experience®" and its application for each team member.
  • Software Training: Deliver training on Rent Manager and all associated integration partners, ensuring that employees are proficient in using the software and its features.
  • Content Creation: Create video content and other materials to support continued education and enhance training programs.
  • Ongoing Training Facilitation: Facilitate ongoing trainings with monthly themes, ensuring that training remains relevant and engaging. Follow up and provide coaching after each secret shop that does not meet expectations.
  • Budget Training for Managers: Assist in developing and delivering budget training for managers and district managers to ensure financial literacy and budget management skills.
  • Update Training Manuals: Regularly update the company training manual to reflect current practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with operational processes such as move-ins, move-outs, renter’s insurance requirements, and commissions. Maintain the Residential File Room server records.
  • Travel: Conduct visits to onsite teams locally and, as needed, out-of-state, ensuring hands-on support and effective training delivery.
  • Point of Contact: Act as the main point of contact for the Help Me email, addressing inquiries and providing support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in training and development, with a focus on property management or residential operations.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and operational processes in a multifamily residential context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging training programs and materials, including video content.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Rent Manager and related software applications is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Compensation details: 70000-80000 Yearly Salary
