What You'll Do:
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to service its professional baseball business, specifically its Louisville Slugger and EvoShield brands. This individual will be working with many customers, MLB/MiLB team equipment managers, Trainers, and Purchasing/Accounting personnel; Major League Baseball representatives; Former Players; Player Agents; Collegiate Summer Leagues; and Professional/College players visiting the Louisville Slugger factory and Louisville Slugger Innovation Center.
With a focus on sales and promotions, the Customer Service Representative works directly with internal team members in the Baseball/Softball Business Unit, as well as external customers to build strong relationships, complete orders, and execute resolutions for any concerns that our customers may have.This role is accountable for meeting targeted metrics and providing an outstanding level of service to our internal and external customers and business partners.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Builds strong customer relationships by focusing on customer needs, developing solutions, and delivering prompt and accurate information for the Baseball Sales and Promotions Program to team members in the Baseball/Softball BU, player agents, and major/minor league equipment managers, trainers, and applicable team personnel.
- Processes player contracts and maintains electronic records of details and dates of contracts.
- Processes and tracks player payments, bonuses, company invoices, expenses, etc.
- Completes and monitors the order cycle for both custom and stock products from order entry through product delivery to customer including changes to orders, cancellations, and related customer communications for players, and staff.
- Maintains accurate log of equipment distributed through Baseball Promotions Program.
- Manages and resolves all outstanding order and inventory related issues between shipping locations, receiving departments, sales, and the account management teams.
- Assists the team with preparation for spring training via planning, reporting, and other organizational and efficiency related executions.
- Answers customer phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
- Assists team members with managing and maintaining budgets for baseball, focusing on promotions.
- Assists in maintaining customer access to the EvoShield VIP website.
- Supports Professional & College player visits to Louisville Slugger Innovation Center with product expertise and ability to capture photos and video for social media.
- Assists Promotions Team in process improvement aimed at maximizing efficiencies servicing Professional and Collegiate clientele.
- Other job duties as required.
What We're Looking For :
This role requires a High School Diploma or GED. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, promotions, or customer service
Other qualifications include:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
- Esteemed organizational skills
- Attention to detail with outstanding follow-through and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain composure in high pressure or urgent situations.
- Participation in or a passion for sports, specifically baseball or softball, is preferred.
- Understanding of social media
- Ability to travel (10%)
