Business Development Manager
TVHC is seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving growth and sustainability. As a key member of the Impact Team, this role will align grant strategies with operational priorities, identify funding opportunities, and secure essential resources by building strong relationships with public and private funders.
Under the direction of the Business Development Director, the Business Development Manager will ensure compliance with funding requirements, manage grants and contracts, and support the development of compelling proposals. This role requires close collaboration with leadership, program managers, finance teams, and external partners to sustain and expand high-quality, accessible healthcare for underserved communities.
About Us: Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center is a non-profit community health center that is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of our community by providing accessible, high quality care by integrating primary care, dental care, WIC support, mental health counseling, community health education and more.
Compensation: $69,992 - $90,001.60, depending on experience ($33.65 - $43.27 per hour),TVHC offers compensation ranges that are determined by a thorough market-based analysis and are fully disclosed in accordance with California law. The pay for a selected candidate is determined by a variety of factors to ensure fair and equitable compensation.

Responsibilities:
- Support an outcomes-driven approach to growth, sustainability, and achieving organizational goals.
- Research, identify, and cultivate a strong pipeline of funding opportunities from public and private sources.
- Develop and submit compelling grant applications in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with funding priorities.
- Track reporting and performance requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions for data and narrative reports.
- Collaborate with leadership to assess contract feasibility, risks, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Utilize Salesforce NPSP and SharePoint to track contracts, milestones, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with accounting and leadership to monitor grant budgets and expenditures, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
- Facilitate coordination between departments to gather data and insights for proposals, reports, and evaluations.
- Leverage analytics to identify key trends in healthcare needs and service utilization, supporting quality improvement and outcome-based decision-making.
- Represent TVHC at meetings, conferences, and partner engagements to strengthen relationships and secure funding.
- Prepare monthly reports for leadership, tracking revenue trends and assessing financial performance.
- Develop and maintain key departmental templates, such as contract summaries, checklists, and process guides.
- Support an ongoing evaluation and feedback loop to refine internal processes, enhance communication, and align strategies for long-term success.
- Associate’s degree (AA) in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field required (or equivalent relevant work experience).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business development, philanthropy, fundraising, or grants management.
- Experience with Medicaid populations, social service or healthcare organizations that serve vulnerable populations.
