Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are welcoming an Accounts Receivable Clerk within the printing and publishing industry. The role is located in NEW YORK, New York. We offer a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Maintaining detailed and correct credit records for customers
• Resolving customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally
• Keeping track of customer accounts and initiating necessary actions
• Preparing and entering various types of journals to adjust account balances
• Assisting in the preparation of ACH, wire, and credit card payments, as well as chargebacks
• Scanning daily A/R work and supporting documents into the RVI
• Undertaking additional assignments as needed during slower periods
• Preparing and entering daily cash for A/R and royalties
• Collaborating respectfully with team members, especially during high-stress periods
• Utilizing strong PC skills to manage tasks, including Word, Excel, and Outlook usage
• Leveraging problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory.
• Must have skills in Billing processes and procedures.
• Expertise in Cash Applications is necessary.
• Familiarity with Cash Collections is essential.
• Previous experience in Commercial Collections is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected.
• Ability to use Oracle is a must.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is recommended.
• Knowledge of SAP is desirable.
• Experience in Cash Posting is necessary.
• Ability to perform Credit Card Reconciliation is essential.
• Knowledge of Credit Card Fraud detection and prevention is a plus.
