Staff Accountant - Robert Half - ref. o89192023

Robert Half is currently looking for a Staff Accountant for a company in White Bear Lake. The staff accountant is responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Provide assistance and training to accounting staff
• Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Assist in financial audits and coordination of the audit process
• Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
• 5+ years' experience in accounting
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• SAP and ADP experience preferred
• Experience with computerized general ledger systems
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and resolve issues
• Self-starter and independent
• Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
