Accounts Receivable Specialist

ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist.In this role, you will be responsible for updating billing information, generating and distributing invoices, and monitoring and processing payments.You’ll ensure accurate records of invoices, debits, and credits, and maintain timely communication of statements. Partnering with Customer Support, you’ll resolve billing issues and reduce delinquency. This role is based in Manassas, VA with a hybrid schedule (Tues &Thurs in Manassas, VA, 3 days remote).

Responsibilities:
- Billing and Collection Activities: Coordinate customer billing and collection activities, including preparing and sending invoices and statements. Monitor and process payments, generate routine reports, and correspond with customers on past due invoices.
- Customer Account Management and Reconciliation: Investigate and reconcile customer discrepancies and account transactions, elevating concerns as needed. Manage customer inquiries through CRM, ensuring timely resolution, and verify the validity of account discrepancies by working with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma and 2-5 years' experience or equivalent experience.
- AX experience preferred.
- Attentive to detail with a high level of accuracy and ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Resourceful, diplomatic and professional; deliver outstanding customer service while managing relationships (both internal and external customers); a can-do attitude and work style that supports teamwork, collaboration and positive relationships.
- Adaptable and to be able to shift priorities and focus as departmental and/or business demands change.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills and be able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Follow all company safety practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and policies.
- Monitoring email inbox and responding to customer requests and concerns.
Benefits:
The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 to $50,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
