Accounting Manager

Our team is partnering with a leading non-profit organization in the Spartanburg area to find a passionate and detail-oriented Accounting Manager. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
• Supervise payroll processing and ensure accurate administration of 401(k) benefits
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure compliance with non-profit standards
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close processes
• Collaborate with leadership on grant management, funding strategies, and financial planning
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of growth and teamwork
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant non-profit regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Experience in payroll and benefit administration, especially 401(k) management
• Strong understanding of non-profit financial management and reporting
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
