We are seeking for a Full-time contractor or employee for a QA Engineer role. Job Description:QA Automation Engineers design automated tests by creating scripts that facilitate automatic testing functions. Their key responsibilities include prioritizing test scenarios, developing execution plans, and documenting automated processes.
The QA Automation Engineer III will focus on the development, execution, and maintenance of both automated and manual test scripts. This role demands experience in preparing UAT test cases to ensure they align with business requirements, as well as conducting stakeholder walkthroughs for clarity.
The engineer will create and track test cases using ALM, report results, and utilize JIRA for defect logging and tracking. Additionally, they will develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices. The ideal candidate should have Agile experience and will support the development team throughout the development, testing, and UAT phases, assisting with defect troubleshooting as necessary.
Key Responsibilities: Proficient in writing and executing test cases, as well as creating comprehensive test plans. Strong understanding of software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.
Extensive experience in QA automation testing and scripting using UFT (Unified Functional Testing tool Advanced skills in writing complex SQL queries for database validation. Expertise in using ALM Test Management tool and JIRA for defect tracking and management.
Strong background in Load testing with LoadRunner and LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE Familiarity with HL7 FHIR standards is preferred. Hands-on experience in API testing with tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, and JMETER. Experienced in working with agile Scrum teams to deliver software releases for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), ensuring timely and quality delivery using JIRA and SharePoint.
Proficient in various testing types, including unit, integration, regression, smoke, user acceptance, system, stress, and load/performance testing. Ability to organize and present complex technical information clearly in both written and verbal formats.
Demonstrated capability to work independently as well as collaboratively with sprint development teams. Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines. Self-motivated, driving team success and contributing to overall project milestone achievement.
Skilled in building effective working relationships with staff and end users through clear communication. Capable of responding to inquiries, troubleshooting errors, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming is a plus.
Prior experience with Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) systems and agencies is preferred.
