As a Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Manager, you will lead the continuous efforts to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of Wellness Healthcare services delivered to patients with a goal of preventing errors, reducing harm, and improving patients' outcomes.

We are looking for:- 10+ years related experience in primary care setting
- Well-versed in clinical operations such as CLIA regulations for waived testing, laboratory specimen collection and handling, OSHA, infection control, vaccine administration, storage, and handling.
- Proven track record of continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Ability to research and implement state health regulations and requirements as it relates to communicable disease reporting, COVID response, or other outpatient clinic services.
- Strong mentoring and relationship building skills with ability to effectively manage group and interpersonal conflict situations
- Demonstrated achievement with change management and quality improvement initiatives
- Thorough understanding of the healthcare environment and specific knowledge of primary care practice management
- Experience in a mid to large, multi-system clinic organization
What is the work?
Quality, Patient Safety and Leadership:- Accountable for performance of all clinical operations and outcomes related to patient safety programs and practices
- Responsible for compliance policies and procedures
- Collaborates with key stakeholders, Medical and Operations Director on initiatives to achieve and maintain compliance and safety
- Provides initial and ongoing support training for clinical staff around policies, procedures, workflows, proper medical equipment use, and point of care testing, as it relates to safety
- Ensures all sites are actively adhering to OSHA guidelines
- Leads all safety audits including OSHA and annual risk assessments. Coordinates with clinical leads and region leaders to address deficiencies
- Leads reviewing incident reports, near misses, filed To ensure proper resolution, educational, or coaching interventions
- Performs root cause analysis on incidents, develops action plan to prevent further incidents
- Responsible for continuing to develop and maintain a patient and partner safety conscious work environment and supporting continuous improvement initiatives as needed
- Monitors and improves compliance and safety program for organization
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge; reviews professional journals; establishes personal network; participates in educational workshops and professional associations as it relates to compliance and patient safety
- Creates, compiles, and delivers safety reports as needed.
- Effectively facilitates and leads all compliance and safety meetings
- Supervises, coaches, and develops compliance team
- Recruits, hires, and onboards new compliance team members
- Helps develop and comply with a set budget for all areas related to the compliance department
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university in Safety, Compliance, Risk Management, Operations, or related field; Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- 2 to 5 years of related experience in safety and/or compliance in a clinic or health care setting preferred
- Previous supervision or leadership experience preferred
- Current working knowledge quality improvement and safety programs, including OSHA
- Advanced interpersonal skills
