Description:

The IT Specialist (Electronic Records Manager) will lead the implementation and management of electronic records and information governance across the agency. This role requires expertise in utilizing Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint/SharePoint Records Center and OneDrive Compliance Center, to ensure compliance with records management policies and retention schedules.

The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, conduct records reviews, and provide training and guidance to meet federal records management requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements agency-wide records and information governance using Microsoft 365 SharePoint/SharePoint Records Center and OneDrive Compliance Center
  • Configures document libraries, retention policies, and file plans in SharePoint 365 to support records management needs
  • Digitizes paper records and integrate them into the electronic records system
  • Conducts in-person records reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with agency policies and regulations
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for electronic records management requirements and provide technical guidance
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to design and apply records retention schedules and records management controls
  • Uses PowerPoint and Visio to develop training materials and metrics reports for internal and external clients
  • Conducts virtual and in-person training sessions on records management processes and tools
  • Develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidance documents to support records management efforts
  • Monitors and notify the agency of updates or bulletins from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) or General Records Schedule (GRS)
  • Utilizes Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems to support records management processes
  • Applies project management methodologies to strategic planning and business process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a current Certified Records Manager or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in records management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience administering SharePoint/SharePoint Online or serving as an advanced/super user
  • Prior experience scheduling electronic information systems with NARA
  • Experience in business process management and strategic planning
  • Familiarity with hard copy and/or electronic records management processes and systems
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance. Active Secret Clearance preferred

Pay Range (The pay range for this job level is provided as general guidance only, and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreements (if any), and other laws): $101,050.73 - $172,131.03
