Medical Billing Specialist

We are in search of a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team based in Wilmington, Delaware. This role operates within the healthcare industry, specifically focusing on the processing and administration of medical billing. The workplace is onsite and offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

• Organize and maintain patient medical records efficiently
• Answer phone calls, respond to voicemails, and handle client inquiries in a timely manner
• Schedule future appointments for patients using SoftDent
• Verify insurance coverage and update insurance bluebooks as necessary
• Handle the collection of estimated co-payments and follow up on existing balances
• Post insurance payments and manage outstanding insurance balances through various payment methods
• Explain treatment plans to patients clearly and comprehensively
• Transmit patient claims and predeterminations to insurance companies
• Undertake annual re-credentialing to stay in-network with current insurance plans
• Ensure a timely response to emails. • The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Billing Specialist.
• Proficiency in using Allscripts and Cerner Technologies is essential.
• Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) is required.
• The applicant must have experience working with EHR SYSTEM.
• Knowledge of Epaces is necessary for this role.
• The candidate should have a strong understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Experience in handling appeals is a key requirement.
• The applicant should be well-versed in Benefit Functions.
• Proficiency in Billing Functions is mandatory.
• The candidate must have experience in Claim Administration.
