How you make a difference:
Performs purchasing and clerical duties including, but not limited to, typing, filing, and data entry. Processes purchase and usage orders. Picks up materials from vendors and delivers office supplies. Work requires familiarity with policies, practices and procedures of the institution, and some capabilities in basic accounting and business procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with data entry and maintenance of computerized files, operates various office machines, and responds to incoming calls.
- Prepares and processes purchase requisitions and orders, tracks and maintains purchasing order files.
- Performs routine accounting and bookkeeping clerical functions, including recognizing and comparing numbers and codes on documents.
- Verifies mathematical accuracy, identifies discrepancies, and reports them to the supervisor.
- Provides assistance at other clerical posts as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two (2) years clerical experience with emphasis in a purchasing, accounting or bookkeeping capacity preferred.
