1453 - Software Engineer

Sigma Defense is currently seeking a Software Engineer to support of programs related to Army electronic warfare systems. The selected candidate will work in a structured and multidisciplinary team environment in Huntsville, AL.

• 2+ years experience using various software development languages (C/C++, Python, Unix, etc).
• Ability to effectively share technical information and communicate technical issues and solutions.
• Solid understanding of networking and interaction between different levels of software.

Candidate Differentiators:

• Experience with microcontroller programming and serial communications.
• Experience in web and/or mobile development.
• Experience with Linux based operating systems (e.g. Red Hat Linux).
• Experience in Visual Studio, QT Creator, and PyCharm.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and adapt quickly to new information.

Personnel Clearance Level:

• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field of study.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

• Development and implementation of design specifications.
• Test, plan, and procedure development.
• System integration testing and installation support.
• Collaborates cross functionally with hardware engineers.
• Provides engineering support for testing, deployment, and updates.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 annually.
