Customer Service Representative - Troy

This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and requires skills in Call Center Customer Service, Microsoft Outlook, and Health Care.

• Responding to customer inquiries and complaints in a detail oriented and timely manner.
• Providing information regarding pre-authorization for medical treatment, claim status, benefit information, provider information, etc.
• Utilizing systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting.
• Keeping up-to-date with changes in our plans.
• Documenting and tracking all customer interactions via our computer system.
• Working collaboratively within a team to ensure customer satisfaction and resolution of issues.
• Familiarizing yourself with medical terminology, CPT codes, HCPCS, and Diagnosis Codes.
• Advising members of outstanding co-payments and providing them with the details of network providers.
• Learning and developing continually to process and disseminate vast amounts of information effectively.
• Greeting customers in a friendly, detail oriented manner using the suggested script. • Must possess a minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service role
• Proficiency in Call Center Customer Service is mandatory
• Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Outlook is required
• Must have knowledge or experience in the Health Care sector
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure
• Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Proficient problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints
• Must have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in a related field is a plus.
