We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Hartford, Connecticut. This role is primarily focused on billing and other associated tasks, and is an integral part of our team. As we are transitioning to Salesforce, the Staff Accountant will also be expected to link Sage to Salesforce, among other duties.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a large volume of billing tasks
- Undertake additional responsibilities that align with the role
- Participate in the transition process to Salesforce
- Connect Sage with Salesforce for seamless data flow
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Conduct Bank Reconciliations regularly
- Maintain the General Ledger and prepare Journal Entries
- Assist in Month End Close procedures
- Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks.
- Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable management
- Experience with bank reconciliations
- Knowledge of general ledger maintenance
- Familiarity with creating and managing journal entries
- Experience in conducting month-end close procedures
- Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks
- Experience with Oracle for financial management
- Knowledge of QuickBooks for accounting tasks
- Familiarity with SAP for business process management
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and procedures.
