Private medical practice seeking a full-time, bilingual (English and Spanish) medical assistant in Los Angeles,CA (90006).

***IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY***

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Measure vital signs and other pertinent information as required by physician.
  • Be able to perform EKG, check blood pressure, measure weight and height, 24-hour blood pressuremonitoring, 24-hour Holter monitoring, Aorta Scan, spirometry.
  • Records information in patients' medical record.
  • Performs clinical tasks and completes appropriate forms.
  • Ensure patient rooms are clean, orderly and adequately prepared for use.
  • May be responsible for cleaning, processing, sterilizing, calibrating and checking instruments.
  • Front office duties (answering phones, scheduling, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant Program from an accredited program.
  • Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Excellent oral communication.
  • Prior experience in a clinical healthcare setting; workers compensation experience a plus but not required.
  • Back and Front Office experience.
  • Must be proficient on PC computer and able to handle Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information professionally and in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Bilingual and fluent in Spanish / English.
Experience:
  • Medical Assistant: 1 year (Required).
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED (Required).
License:
  • Medical Assistant Certificate (Required).

Job Type: Full-time. Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
