We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Senior Manager of Corporate Communications to elevate our internal and external communications strategy. This role will be instrumental in recruiting top talent and fostering a culture that reflects our core values of innovation, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact on the world.

How you can make an impact:

  • Internal Communications
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement, build awareness of company initiatives, and reinforce organizational culture.
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer and global HR and recruiting teams to craft, deploy, and measure effectiveness of messaging around talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and retention programs.
  • Gather audience data and insights and leverage them to create employee engagement strategies and tactics that garner strong results, including videos, internal newsletters, presentations, intranet updates, and digital content that keep employees informed and inspired. Track and use data to drive continuous performance improvement in all communication plans, content and tools used.
  • Collaborate with leadership to produce communication plans for organizational changes, initiatives and announcements.
  • Manage development and updates to corporate and regional office crisis communication plan(s).

External Communications:

  • Hone and communicate EPE’s distinctive employer value proposition to expand reach and resonate with potential candidates domestically and across global business regions.
  • Design and implement communication campaigns that position EPE as an employer of choice and attract top-tier talent in the energy sector.
  • Partner with the marketing team to align messaging, tone and tactical best practices with brand standards and ensure consistency across all platforms and high performance in a dynamic media landscape.
  • Oversee the creation of employer branding materials, including social media posts, videos, blogs, and employee testimonials.
  • Build relationships with select industry publications, associations, trade media, workforce development and community organizations to amplify EPE’s culture and values externally; leverage these networks to increase employer brand awareness and recruitment traction.

Culture Building:

  • Work closely with our Corporate Services teams to develop initiatives that celebrate employee achievements and highlight the company’s values.
  • Organize events, campaigns and storytelling opportunities that reflect the diversity and inclusivity of EPE’s workforce.
  • Collaborate with leadership to amplify the company’s vision and inspire employees to contribute to its success.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on communication best practices and strategies.
  • Manage a small team of communication professionals, providing guidance, feedback and mentorship.
  • Collaborate/coordinate with outside vendors and consultants on an as-needed basis.
  • Monitor and analyze communication efforts to measure effectiveness and inform future strategies.

Qualifications:

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English; or a related field
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Eight or more (8+) years of progressive experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or employer branding roles.
  • Proven track record of designing and executing internal and external communication strategies in a corporate environment.
  • Experience collaborating with HR teams to support talent acquisition, retention and culture-building initiatives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with developing video content including storyboarding, script writing, production and post-production/editing a plus.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and driving engagement.
  • Proficiency in communication tools and platforms, including intranet software, email marketing tools, and social media. Eye for analytics for data-driven decisions.
  • Cross-cultural workplace experience with a strong instinct and respect for diverse audiences. Thoughtful listener with a local-to-global lens.
  • Experience in the energy, engineering and/or technology sectors is a plus.

Location: This position is onsite (Hybrid), located in our corporate offices in Austin, Texas.
