Lab Tech

education: High School

• Performs routine laboratory procedures such as preparation of media and basic preparation of samples to be tested.
• Conducts routine laboratory tests and procedures under the direction of professional staff.
• Sets up and operates laboratory equipment in preparation for plastic examinations.
• Opens, separates, numbers and arranges plastic material for laboratory examination and trace results
• Maintains laboratory records and inventory for lab supplies.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies by cleaning and maintaining quality assurance records.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with standard laboratory practice and procedures.
• Assist Quality Manager / Warehouse manager with inventory controls and shipping as needed.
• Follow all applicable SOP's
• Follow all applicable company plant and safety rules.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
