QA Documentation Specialist

Astro Machine Works is a growing 100% Employee Owned Company located in Ephrata, PA . Founded in 1984, we are a comprehensive machining and fabrication facility specializing in custom machine building, machined parts and fabrication.

Astro Machine Works is seeking full time QA Documentation Specialist for our growing team.

This role requires the organization and/or creation of quality related documentation in support of the Astro Machine Works Quality Management System. The position requires a methodical approach to work activities as a means of meeting customer requirements and enhancing customer satisfaction.

EXPECTATIONS:

1. Documentation Activities

1. Review of supplier provided documentation to ensure conformance with customer requirements
2. Corresponding with suppliers on required documentation including product certifications and corrective actions
3. Review of manufacturing records for completeness
4. Document Package preparation
5. Data input for Process Effectiveness Measures
6. Assist in maintaining part inventory records and shelf life controlled product
7. As needed, assist with Receiving functions – Physical Receipt and/or ERP inputs
8. Other duties, as assigned, in support of the Quality Department responsibilities

1. Individual, Team + Company Participation

1. Interface with other company personnel in the resolution of potential quality problems
2. Adherence to Company Procedures and Processes (Employee handbook, QMS, Safety, and Security)
3. Advocate for Astro Quality Policy/Objectives
4. Embrace company Values, Vision, and Mission
5. Participate in Department and Company meetings

Compensation details: 23-26 Hourly Wage
