What you’ll do…
  • Compile and analyze timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other accounting standards.
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret the company’s financial position.
  • Develop annual budgets and monthly reforecasts for assigned properties.
  • Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
  • Generate annual work papers and support schedules for year-end tax returns, audits, and financial statements.
  • Collaborate with Operations to prepare and maintain annual business plans, cash flow projections, and financial reports.
  • Manage asset/portfolio capital reserves, assets, and expenditures by monitoring revenue, expenses, payables, receivables, and capital expenditures.
  • Maintain various ad hoc financial models and analyses integral to asset/portfolio cash flow management, financing, operations, and investor relations.
  • Prepare lease analysis including the calculation of lease termination payment along with calculating the financial impact of prospective new leases, renewals and expansions as it relates to the asset/portfolio.
Your qualifications…
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the real estate industry.
  • Proficiency with real estate accounting software (MRI preferred).
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Ability to apply sound business judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while achieving team goals.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience calculating and reporting on CAM
  • Team player with a “can-do” attitude.
