Position Overview:

We are seeking an Administrative Specialist (Procurement) to provide support to our U.S. Government client in Washington, D.C.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree awarded by an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Shall have a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in either administrative support or procurement.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and procurement support to Senior Level Contracting Personnel including:

  • Receive all purchase requests from the system requirement owners use for the entire directorate. The system includes all requests for software, IT hardware, and more.
  • Track all procurement requests once the acquisition strategy has been determined, from start to end.
  • Assist in obtaining the documentation, or communicate with the requirement owners to gather it.
  • Assist in setting up SOW/PWS.
  • Preparation of procurement documentation.
  • Submit all purchases to card holders and ensure competition.
  • Continuous communication with all requirement owners.
  • Create acquisition packets for contracting agencies and submit for purchase.
  • Conduct market research.
  • Once procurement is complete, file documentation and complete adequate notes.

Work Schedule, Location, and Travel:

  • 0800 to 1630 or 0730 to 1600 Monday through Friday
  • On site in Washington D.C.
