My client is an innovative technology based defense manufacturer, specializing in the development of electro-optical solutions. My client is looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join a growing team and contribute to the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge electronic systems for defense and space applications.
Job Description
The Electrical Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Design, test, and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components for defense and space applications, ensuring compliance with military and aerospace standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate electrical components into complex defense and aerospace systems.
- Utilize simulation and modeling tools to design, analyze, and optimize electrical circuits and systems for optimal performance.
- Develop test plans and procedures to validate the performance and reliability of electrical systems, including environmental stress testing and qualification for military standards (MIL-STD).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems and components, providing technical support during the manufacturing and deployment phases.
- Ensure all designs meet regulatory, safety, and industry standards, including MIL-STD-461/810, IPC-A-610, and NASA standards, as applicable.
- Lead initiatives for process improvements and cost reduction while ensuring product quality and reliability.

The Successful Applicant- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the defense manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, RF systems, power electronics, and embedded systems
- Experience with tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or similar PCB design software
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB, PSPICE, or ANSYS
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and provide innovative solutions to electrical design challenges
- Must be eligible for or currently hold a U.S. security clearance.
