Our client is seeking a diligent Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with monthly close processes.
- Contribute to the development and review of annual budgets and financial projections.
- Maintain accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury documentation while conducting internal audits.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Respond to management information requests and assist with audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist the Accounting Manager with various projects and reporting needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
