The Dialysis Hospital Services Unit Secretary is responsible for assisting the the dialysis team with the administrative needs of our hospital services program at Prisma Health Greenville.

Schedule: Full-time, typical schedule is five 8-hour shifts, starting at 7:00am, Monday - Friday

Compensation: Pay range from $14.00-$19.96 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Responsibilities:

What You Can Expect:

  • Answers phone and direct calls to appropriate individuals as indicated.
  • Assists nurse manager in scheduling patient treatments on a daily basis.
  • Assists nurse manager in completion of written staffing schedule.
  • Assists nurse manager in tracking of Quality Management Project Data and developing reports for review of stated projects.
  • Communicate on an ongoing basis the needs of the patients receiving dialysis treatments, with the hospital departments to include: laboratory, transportation, and nursing units.
  • Computer data entry of treatment flow sheets into the DCI
  • Retrieval of hospital laboratory or other authorized data from facility computer system, after proper training by the hospital data department as been achieved and entry access allowed.
  • Completion of daily charge logs for treatments performed. These are to be submitted to the hospital billing departments as defined in written policy.
  • Assist Nurse Manager with other duties as might be defined on an ongoing basis.

Education/Training:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
  • Prior experience with dialysis medical records recommended, but willing to train.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
