Summary:Under the supervision of the director|manager or designee, the Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care in response to identified needs.Additional functions will be performed in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.
Assures quality care through compliance with departmental policies, hospital and external regulatory agency guidelines.Demonstrates desirable work habits and promotes personal growth and professionalism in the work environment.
Effectively performs the duties and responsibilities of a critical care nurse using the nursing process.
Provides and documents quality patient care consistently according to hospital standards and policy|procedures.
Accepts accountability and responsibility as a member of the department of nursing services.
Participates in activities that promote quality patient care and efficient functioning of unit.
Provides professional nursing services in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with physicians orders.
Prepares the unit for the patient and procedure being performed.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate using computerized documentation systems.
Experience: Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
Education: Graduate of a nursing program
Bachelors degree preferred
Certifications | Licensure: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC|eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
Special Skills: Must be able to utilize independent decision-making skills in a wide variety of situations.
Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities.Personal computer skills required.
Frequent contact with employees, physicians, customers, community individuals and volunteers.
Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
