PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Will be responsible for material flow through the department
- Provide leadership, along with the Supervisor, in running the department safely and effectively
- Carry out instructions/directions of the supervisor whether verbal or written
- Conduct quality checks throughout the department and complying with quality standards
- Be proficient in set-up operations of machinery in the department
- Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed
- Use Oracle software system to ensure proper recording of material flow
- Provide training to new and existing employees
- Ensure productivity targets are met
- ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :
- One year of production experience or similar in carpentry or fast paced, detail-oriented environment is preferred
- Three years of progressively responsible work experience (prior lead experience is preferred)
- Knowledge of safe work practices
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to train others on safety, quality, performance, job responsibilities
- Ability to read/write/communicate in English
