Account Manager, Patient Engagement (U.S.)
Job Summary
The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for managing the day-to-day business of our client’s Patient Engagement Program, serving as the primary point of contact for the client. This role ensures seamless program execution by managing key activities, including setting up internal and external meetings for assigned brands, conducting status meetings and overseeing internal project workflows.management and participation of Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) processes as needed, financial reconciliation, partner agency coordination, project-level reporting. The Account Manager will also be support the Senior Account Manager (SAM) and Patient Relationship Management (PRM) team as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Key Account Management- Responsible for a client account (or set of accounts) within the agency, and the client-agency relationship.
- Maintains ongoing communications with key client contacts to gauge performance and foster relationships. Is a problem solver for client issues.
- Exhibits solid presentation skills.
- Provides clear and confident direction to cross-functional agency team. Evaluates creative output and tactical plans against strategic direction and provides constructive feedback.
- Comprehensive understanding of each client’s business.
- In-depth knowledge of, and compassion for, each client’s patient group and their needs.
- Oversees all activities that relate to support of the programs and projects associated with the client account. This includes strategy and planning meetings, status meetings, financial reconciliation, partner agency coordination, project level reporting and measurement and participation in Review Committee process as needed
- Thinks about client projects from a holistic patient marketing perspective
- Ensures work is completed within budget and demonstrates team accountability for:
- 1) SOW development
- 2) Client signed estimates, PO and invoice tracking
- 3) Accurate and timely budget reconciliations for all projects
- 4) Continued efforts to realize cost savings
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, biology, life sciences, or related field
- Significant experience in client account management.
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work in a fast-paced work environment, and to achieve goals in a timely fashion.
- Excellent listening and presentation abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A desire for excellence, and a passion to succeed in a fast moving and ever-evolving environment where everyone is expected to be hands-on.
- Keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints.
- Background in biopharmaceutical patient marketing (client or agency side) a plus.
- Experience in working with Patient Advocacy Organizations a plus.
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel (including spreadsheets), Power Point, Outlook, and Teams; knowledge of CVENT and Veeva a plus.
- Ability to make clear, concise decisions and solve complex problems.
- Strength in fostering and maintaining productive, successful working partnerships with clients (at all levels) as well as the internal OH team.
- Ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work in a fast-paced work environment, and to achieve goals in a timely fashion.
- Ability to travel for team meetings, client meetings, patient meetings and/or video shoots. This may include weekend and evening hours.
