Adecco is looking for a shop assistant for a large client in Warren, MI. This role is a role in which you will be in for a little bit, before on the job training and growth opportunity starts. The working hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM M-F. The client is looking for someone who has high career aspirations, good work ethic, and looking for growth opportunities.

Job Summary The candidate will work as a Shop Assistant, performing general labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor. They will also provide administrative and technical assistance around the shop floor while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Skill Requirements
Must-Have:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to drive a hi-lo or ability to obtain certification
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Experience using electric pallet jacks and forklifts
- Strong work ethic
Preferred:
- Some computer experience in MS Office
- 0-1 year of experience in a manufacturing/shop environment
- MS Office: Refers to Microsoft Office suite software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint commonly used for creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Hi-lo: A type of forklift used to lift and move materials over short distances.
- Hand Tools: Basic manual tools like hammers, screwdrivers used for repairs or maintenance.
- Power Tools: Electrically powered devices like drills or saws used for construction or repairs.
- Electric Pallet Jacks: Machines used to lift and move pallets within warehouses or shops.
- Forklifts: Industrial trucks used to lift and transport materials over short distances.
Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
