Engineering Test Lab Technician

Overview:

The primary purpose of this position is to support Engineering by performing product testing on new and existing products.

Responsibilities:

• Perform visual, dimensional, and/or functional testing of products, components, tooling, fixtures, and equipment per written testing protocols, testing requests, specifications, or equipment procedures.
• Report test data in the form of a written summary, charts, graphs, or other data analysis.
• Research and interpret testing standards, as applicable.
• Maintain permanent records and databases of testing performed for historical reference.
• Purchase new equipment as necessary.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read/write/understand written instructions; test protocols and test results.
• 2 year Associates degree in a Technical field or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a regulated production environment

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Complaint evaluation work requires protective glasses and gloves when working with biologically contaminated returned products.
• Work is performed in a laboratory environment.
