School Health Nurse
- Stipend: Total stipend of $120,000 annually
- Qualifications:
- Valid School Nurse Certification in the state of employment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid from the American Heart Association or equivalent
- Successful completion of background checks and proof of legal work status in the U.S.
- Performance Responsibilities:
- Administers medical services and maintains student health records as required by state law and district policy
- Conducts routine health screenings for vision, hearing, and scoliosis as per mandated schedules
- Provides assessments and referrals for students with ongoing health conditions
- Monitors and handles emergency medical situations, including injuries and illnesses that arise during the school day
- Develops health education programs and materials for students, working closely with teachers and parents
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure student health needs are addressed
- Manages and tracks immunization compliance, ensuring students meet state health requirements
Prepares and submits monthly reports on student health data to the district supervisor
