We're currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for our plant operations and warehousing departments. This role will be crucial in managing financial aspects related to production and storage facilities, balancing large volumes of data and a constant flow of financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial activities for our plant operations and warehousing departments, ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.
- Manage the fixed assets of the company, maintaining complete records, calculating depreciation, and ensuring the assets are reflected accurately on the balance sheet.
- Manage and coordinate monthly close procedures for business units in tandem with our global entities.
- Prepare comprehensive journal entries and account reconciliations, while also ensuring that these remain up-to-date.
- Develop, prepare, and format special financial reports containing financial data of a complex and confidential nature.
- Utilize Sage software to manage various financial operations, maintaining expertise in the software's functionality and upgrades.
- Understand and analyse the company's overall budgets and expenditures for all departments and international entities.
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed financial reports and statements, ensuring the absolute accuracy of the data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Sage software
- Familiarity with global business operations and large-revenue companies.
- Exceptional capacity for managing and leading large projects.
- Ability to work within a team and individually across geographical boundaries.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
- Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation accurately
- Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations is necessary
- Must have a strong understanding of General Ledger management
- Demonstrable experience in making Journal Entries
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is essential
- Knowledge of Sage Software is expected
