Our client, a very stable construction company is seeking a Sr. Accountant. The Sr. Accountant is a key member of the accounting team and will report to the controller. Our client has a great culture and offers room for advancement!
General Responsibilities:
- Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of month-end and year-end closing processes, including reviewing closing information and ensuring completeness.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
- Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, including account reconciliations and adjusting entries.
- Perform job costing analysis for construction projects, ensuring accurate allocation of costs and helping to maintain budget controls.
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or public accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Must be efficient in Microsoft Excel
