Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and driven Senior IT Network Engineer to oversee our Network Operations Center (NOC). This role requires an expert-level understanding of network infrastructure, exceptional problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities.The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the NOC, ensuring network performance and reliability, and leading a team of NOC engineers to monitor and support the company's network infrastructure. This job will require 10-15% travel throughout the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- NOC Management and Oversight:
- Lead and manage the NOC team, ensuring 24/7 network monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement NOC processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure optimal network performance and uptime.
- Oversee the daily operations of the NOC, including shift management, incident escalation, and reporting.
- Network Design and Implementation:
- Design, deploy, and maintain complex network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Implement and oversee network solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services across the organization.
- Incident and Problem Management:
- Lead the response to major network incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing business impact.
- Analyze network performance data to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent network incidents and enhance overall reliability.
- Network Security and Compliance:
- Oversee the implementation of network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, incident reports, and service records.
- Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, NOC activities, and incident management to senior management.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to NOC engineers and other IT staff.
- Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and identify professional development opportunities for the NOC team.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the NOC.
- Collaboration and Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with IT and business leaders to develop and implement strategic network plans.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality network services and support.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the NOC and network infrastructure remain cutting-edge.
