A premier net-zero energy engineering firm is searching for a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Service Technician. The BAS Service Technician is accountable for promptly addressing building system issues utilizing their extensive knowledge of mechanical and HVAC equipment.
Effective communication and troubleshooting skills are essential for maintaining positive customer relationships while resolving issues efficiently, either remotely or on-site.
Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and repair building automation system panels, including communication equipment, printed circuit boards, power supplies, electrical/electronic controls, sensors, and transducers.
- Modify computer programs for building automation system points, including determining conversion patterns, defining point acronyms, and soliciting alarm specifications from operating personnel.
- Respond to building system issues as they arise, engaging with clients through remote or in-person interactions.
- Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and emergency service calls as assigned.
- Maintain project-related documentation, including commissioning documentation, daily reports, as-builts, and status reports.
- Cultivate cooperative relationships with company members, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the evaluation and training of junior technicians.
