Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.

Responsibilities:

The Front Office Supervisor oversees the day-to-day activities of the Front Office to ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently.

Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following:

  1. Monitor available rooms to ensure the hotel occupancy is not over/under sold.
  2. Resolve guest concerns and implement resolutions.
  3. Schedule labor force and assign work for efficient use of equipment and personnel.
  4. Ensure compliance by all front office personnel with Company and departmental rules, policies, and procedures.
  5. Ensure an effective staff by interviewing candidates, recommending candidates for hire, preparing and conducting performance evaluations, verbal counseling, and other disciplinary actions.
  6. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and guests.
  • Bilingual highly desirable.
  • Previous relevant experience preferred. One year supervisory experience preferred.
  • High school education or equivalent.
