Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and manage the successful delivery of technology projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, with the ability to coordinate resources, manage project timelines, and ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure project success and align IT initiatives with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, risk management, and dependencies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams (development, infrastructure, QA, etc.) and external vendors or contractors.
- Track project progress and adjust plans as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to key stakeholders and executives.
- Conduct project meetings, including status updates, reviews, and post-project evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Manage project budgets, including resource allocation and cost tracking.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues to avoid project delays or budget overruns.
- Ensure quality assurance and project deliverables meet established standards.
- Foster a collaborative and effective working environment with all project stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, helping to resolve conflicts and ensure smooth project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, Asana).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of software development and IT infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credentials.
- Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud computing, or enterprise software development projects.
- Familiarity with change management processes and software deployment strategies.
- Experience working in Agile development environments or with Scrum teams.
