Accounting Assistant

Robert Half's software client is offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Redwood City, California. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be instrumental in the Financial Services industry, working on various accounting software systems to manage and streamline our accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
• Help prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
• Support the reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with payroll processing and expense reimbursements.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
• Collaborate with team members on various projects and tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
