The Program Financial Analyst will support the financial management, review, and estimating of assigned programs. This role will partner with program management teams to analyze and understand their financial position. The analyst will prepare monthly customer financial reports, verify actual cost reporting, provide variance analysis, prepare billing, and support monthly closing activities.

Will report to the Director of Program Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares a comprehensive cost status report (CSR) based on estimates at complete for each job, analyzing project budget, actual costs, forecasted costs, and budget variance by working with cross functional IPT to ensure accurate and timely submission
  • The analyst will prepare monthly customer financial reports, verify actual cost reporting, provide variance analysis, risk reviews, and support monthly closing activities
  • Project controls analyst responsible for set up and activation of assigned projects, service orders and production work order support in ERP system
  • Provide inputs for the monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, EBITDA and cash forecasting process
  • Monitor and analyze program costs, perform financial analysis for labor, material, subcontract and ODC estimates against budget and forecast
  • Prepare Contract Billing with Program Management, and interface with customer as needed
  • Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines, and submit timely requests for additional funding to the government
  • The ideal individual for this job will be an excellent communicator with a desire to learn and be challenged, the ability to work on a range of tasks, the ability to interact and effectively communicate with a variety of management levels, customer counterparts, and internal /external stakeholders
  • Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials requirements, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs (standard vs. actual) and where efficiencies can be found
  • Makes estimates of new and proposed product or service costs
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of combined Finance / accounting related education and work experience
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, etc) in program development and execution
  • Experience with multiple contract types (CP/FP/T&M)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management

PREFERRRED

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
  • DoD Finance/EVMS
  • Understanding of ASC 606
  • Understanding of relevant FAR/DFARS regulations
  • Deltek CostPoint
