Overview:

  • Establish, validate and coach best practice for ambulatory workflows that provide clinical and service excellence.
  • Effectively manage capital and operational funding within budget.
  • Validate and effectively manage labor to support patient and provider care in appropriate and efficient manner.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external key stakeholders, represent Cooper/Ambulatory Ops in professional manner.
  • Communicate in timely manner with appropriate urgency.
  • Lead and/or represent Ambulatory on system-wide projects. Participate and communicate timely and appropriately.
  • Responsible for facilitation of team member development and growth.
  • Responsible to establishment and maintenance of ambulatory infrastructure, standards, guidelines.
  • Ensures patient and provider concerns are addressed, resolution communicated, and workflow adjusted if needed.
  • Provides effective onboarding of new leaders and validates effectiveness.

Short Description:

The Assistant Vice President, Ambulatory Operations is responsible to lead team of direct and indirect reports for Ambulatory Operations across assigned product lines to ensure standardization and optimization of services. Support implementation of strategic ambulatory initiatives to provide workflows that exhibit clinical and service excellence.

Role model and coach teams to provide services within Cooper Core Values while demonstrating leadership competencies on consistent basis.

Experience Required:

  • Experience with regulatory standards, EHR (Epic preferred), data benchmarking and analysis, patient centered medical home, facilities management and project leadership.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years of progressive ambulatory (medical practice) operational experience including oversight of multiple physician practices.

License/Certification Requirements:

CMPE and ACHE preferred
