Project Coordinator
This position is in support of Perikin’s contracts to provide engineering services; program, project, financial, and information management; and administrative support to our Government Customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing programmatic support to ensure the successful completion of Program objectives. The candidate will directly interface and assist co-workers and clients by providing project management support for complex projects to include project level technical, cost and schedule performance, strategic planning, and reporting to senior leadership.
This position is currently eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES- Assist the Project Managers, financial analysts, and engineers in the execution of project management processes, including cost, schedule, and risk management. This position also assists the Project Managers and Engineers with administrative support for meetings facilitation and status reporting.
- Assist the project staff with scheduling, coordination, logistics, and generally facilitating efficient execution of Government acquisition processes.
- Assists in developing statements of work, performance work statements, or specifications documents.
- Develop and maintain the schedule for assigned projects in conjunction with project staff.
- Coordinate tasks and resources across multiple, simultaneous projects throughout the entire acquisition life cycle.
- Communicate with senior management regarding the status of specific projects.
- Provide daily and weekly reports on highly visible tasks and projects.
- Monitor project budget and schedule progress from project startup to completion.
- Document and maintain the change management register and all associated reporting.
- Assists the project staff in identifying, mitigating, and documenting project risks.
- Coordinate the content collection of the status report for review and approval by Government officials.
- Provide project information in the execution mission objectives and assist in the future development of new acquisitions.
- Assist with the formulation of budget requirements and assist in the development of execution plans in accordance with programmatic requirements and technical objectives.
- Work with internal and external executing organizations to receive accurate and timely project execution information.
- Support the development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Organize deliverable trackers and facilitates deliverables sign-off.
- Records and files meeting minutes, sighting action items for project meetings.
- Assist project staff with building and maintaining budgets, obligations, and expenditure plans.
- Prepare project status, budget, and financial execution reports and presentations.
- Tracking execution and notifying program managers of issues and funding needs.
- Maintain excellent communication and coordination with teammates Government customers.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in Project Management.
- High School Diploma Required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration is preferred.
- Demonstrated record of proactive, self-initiated project management.
- Unwavering attention to detail, exemplary work ethic, and grace under pressure.
- Ability to build positive relationships with coworkers and executing organizations.
- Working knowledge of Project, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook.
- Potential for up to 10% travel.
- Work safely and professionally while adhering to all regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, Federal regulations, etc.).
- Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as job duties require.
- Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
- Effectively communicate in the Business English language.
- Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
