Summary:
An industry leading freight forwarding company is looking to hire a Mobile Diesel Mechanic. The Mobile Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for conducting major and minor repairs on diesel fleet equipment and ensuring maintenance programs are effectively coordinated between the U.S. shore-based maintenance department (Florida) and island operations (Caribbean and Bahamas).This role involves hands-on repairs, technical support, and training, with the goal of enhancing productivity and reducing costs for our island maintenance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the U.S. maintenance team to plan and execute maintenance programs for island operations.
- Provide input on equipment specifications and ensure optimal utilization of tools and machinery.
- Train personnel as needed.
- Offer recommendations to enable our island maintenance departments to become more productive and reduce cost.
- Perform hands-on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs on heavy equipment as needed
