ROLE DESCRIPTION
In the part-time Support Virtual Lab Manager role you’ll act as an outsourced purchasing department (think a “personal shopper”) for biotech companies and scientific research labs. You’ll provide ad hoc coverage for full-time sVLMs and flex as business needs change.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Track, process, and manage orders for customers
- Communicate with suppliers (sales reps, technical help & customer service) to obtain pricing, technical information and retrieve order updates
- Proactively solve logistics and supply chain issues on behalf of customers
- Organize basic accounting details on behalf of your books of labs, e.g. purchase orders and invoices reporting progress
- Utilize proprietary and off-the-shelf software to manage your book of labs
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
A strong candidate will have excellent work ethic with 1-3 years working experience in the following areas:
- Lab Technician or Research Associate,
- Purchaser in a scientific or academic setting,
- Logistics experience, or
- Customer service experience.

- 20-30 hours/week starting at $25 per hour (depending on experience)
