Carfair Composites is currently looking for a motivated and experienced Material Team Lead to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will oversee the management of materials within our manufacturing processes, ensuring that all materials are handled efficiently to support production goals.
Your responsibilities will include leading a team of material handlers, managing inventory levels, coordinating material logistics, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. As the Material Team Lead, you will play a key role in optimizing material flow and fostering a collaborative atmosphere that drives success.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead the material handling team, ensuring tasks are carried out effectively and safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee the tracking of materials entering and leaving the facility.
- Coordinate with production departments to forecast material requirements and prevent supply disruptions.
- Implement safety protocols and enhance best practices for material handling and storage.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and work on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor team members, promoting their professional development.
- Work closely with management to optimize material sourcing strategies.
WAGE: $28.85
Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent; degree in logistics, supply chain management or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material handling or inventory management, with leadership experience.
- Proficient in inventory management systems and software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and remain on feet for long periods.
