Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting department, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and improvement of systems and policies related to financial operations
- Assist CFO with annual audits and maintain the implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Strong financial knowledge and experience, with proficiency in GAAP, NFP accounting, and fund accounting software
- Coordinate monthly financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders
- Attend managerial level meetings and trainings
- Ensure organizational compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- 7+ years accounting experience, preferably within not-for-profit space
- 3 years of team management experience is ideal
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and NFP accounting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Single Audit (non-profit) procedures
