We have a fantastic opportunity for aCommercial Motor Underwriter
to support the growth and retention of our comprehensive and established Commercial Motor Client Portfolio.
This position would ideally suit an individual from a Commercial Motor Insurance broking/underwriting background looking to further their career within Commercial Motor underwriting.

The role will be involved in executing the company strategy and contributing to the achievement of our financial plans. In addition, the role is responsible for providing a superior customer service and delivering the required product profitability.

We will rely on you to:
Build strong relationships with broking partners and internal stakeholdersUnderwrite a variety of commercial motor products with you own delegated underwriting authority
Contribute to growing Victors book of national business
Contribute to and implement the underwriting strategy for all products, working within our established risk appetite
You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques to new and existing businessWork with our broker panel to identify, discuss, negotiate and renew existing business as well as bring in new business opportunities all whilst making effective underwriting decisions.
Directly contribute towards financial KPIs, including balancing the achievement of revenue without any detriment to underwriting profitabilityDeliver Marsh/Victor service levels on all authorised products
Manage quality first and underwriting peer review requirements to identify areas for underwriting and product improvement
Be responsible for own personal technical and skill set progression
Complete project work as per briefs and provide appropriate feedback as to projects goals and aim
What you need to have:
Experience of working in the Commercial Motor insurance marketExperience of working in teams and successful record of delivering results
Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service ethos
Good organisational skills to ensure that company processes and procedures are maintained
Communicating, influencing, negotiating and relationship building skills
Strong personal drive and results orientation
Good attention to detail
