We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the construction/contractor industry, based in Arlington, Texas. As a Payroll Specialist, you'll be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including handling payroll for a large number of employees, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and working closely with other departments.

• Accurately and efficiently process semi-monthly payroll using PeopleSoft.
• Monitor and calculate compensation for new hires and terminations.
• Prepare and process manual checks as well as garnishment, child support, and tax levy orders.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements related to compensation and associated taxes.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Human Resources, to uphold compliance with company policies.
• Utilize PeopleSoft to run queries, research, and answer all payroll-related inquiries.
• Maintain ethical business conduct to serve customers and boost the goodwill and profit of the company.
• Be available for overtime work and occasional overnight travel. • Proven experience in the Construction/Contractor industry
• Proficiency in Benefits Payroll management
• Experience with Automated Payroll systems
• Familiarity with bi-Monthly Payroll procedures
• Proficiency in using PeopleSoft software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
• Excellent problem-solving skills
