Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Epicor Developer to design, customize, implement, and maintain Epicor ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems to meet organizational needs. The Epicor Developer will collaborate closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and project managers to ensure the system is optimized for end-user requirements and business processes.This role is integral in maximizing system efficiency and supporting the company’s operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Epicor ERP Development
- Design, develop, and customize Epicor ERP systems, including modules, dashboards, and reports, to align with business processes.
- Develop and troubleshoot BPMs (Business Process Management) workflows, dashboards, and other functionalities within Epicor.
- System Implementation and Optimization
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify system requirements and recommend solutions using Epicor best practices.
- Assist in the implementation and upgrade of Epicor ERP systems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
- Fine-tune system performance and workflows to enhance user experience and productivity.
- Data Management and Reporting
- Develop custom reports and data queries/forms using Epicor tools, such as SSRS or Crystal Reports.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the ERP system by developing checks and validation tools.
- Integration and Automation
- Integrate third-party applications with Epicor using APIs or custom scripts, ensuring seamless data exchange.
- Streamline business processes by developing automation tools and scripts to reduce manual workflows.
- Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide ongoing system support to end-users, including bug fixes and troubleshooting.
- Conduct routine system maintenance and resolve any technical issues promptly.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Train end-users and provide documentation to ensure effective use of Epicor’s features and functionalities.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of proven experience as an Epicor Developer or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Epicor ERP versions 10.x or later is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in C#, LINQ, or similar programming languages used in Epicor customization.
- Strong understanding of SQL Server, SSRS, Crystal Reports, and database structures for report development.
- Knowledge of Epicor tools, including BPMs, BAQs, and Service Connect.
- Experience with integration via REST APIs or other protocols.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and analytically.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in both independent and team-oriented environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Epicor Kinetic will be considered a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, distribution, or similar industry business processes.
- Certifications in Epicor ERP or other relevant technologies.
