Summary:
An American-based international stock distributor of military/defense and aerospace parts, components, systems, and equipment is looking to hire an Account/Program Manager who will be overseeing and assisting with the purchasing as well and reviewing of blueprints/coordinating with vendors, utilizing your mechanical engineering knowledge to select the correct parts to fulfill the order.The employees underneath you would be a Data Entry Assistant who helps input incoming orders into our system as well as some follow up. In addition, you will also have an Assistant Manager who also assists with the purchasing/follow up and corresponding with the vendors/customers (think of them as a project coordinator who will assist from A to Z with the process of fulfilling the orders).
As an account manager - You will be overseeing and assisting with the purchasing as well and reviewing of blueprints/coordinating with vendors because you will have the mechanical engineering knowledge to select the correct parts to fulfill the order.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive quotes from various customers and fill/process them
- Process customer RFQ"s
- Defines customer requirements.
- Researches historical records for similar requirements
- Send quotations to the customer
- Process & manage customer's purchase orders
- Ensures that each contract obligation is completed, reviewed and delivered on time in a high-quality format through all process functions.
- Liaison to customer on non-conformances & quality issues
- Identifies and evaluates sources of supply by researching internal and external databases and the Internet to find potential manufacturer or distributor sources in the United States
- Reviews and approves purchase documents to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and specification before submitting to suppliers
- Issue request for quotes to vendors
- Negotiating prices and obtaining goods/services with the best quality at the lowest possible costs
