Staff Accountant

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry for a diligent Staff Accountant in Farmington, Connecticut. As a Staff Accountant, your role will encompass a range of financial tasks, including the processing of journal entries, the management of credit card transactions, and the analysis of monthly financial variances.

• Handle the accurate and timely processing of journal entries.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Oversee the process of credit card transactions, including the utilization of pivot tables and vlookups.
• Analyze monthly financials and identify any significant variances.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to maintain financial health.
• Conduct end-of-month close procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
• Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient financial management.
• Perform general ledger duties to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Carry out research to determine the appropriate allocation of in-house funds.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records. • Candidate must possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations is needed.
• Candidate should have experience with managing and maintaining the General Ledger.
• Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries is required.
• Candidate should be able to handle tasks related to Month End Close.
• Knowledge and experience with NetSuite is preferred.
• Familiarity with Oracle software is beneficial.
• QuickBooks expertise is a must.
• Experience with SAP is highly desired.
