PCB Layout and Test Engineer

Infleqtion has 6 office locations, operating out of Austin, TX; Boulder/Louisville, CO; Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; Oxford, UK; and Melbourne, AU. This position is a full-time, hybrid position which will be located in our Louisville, Colorado office.
Position Summary
Infleqtion is seeking a motivated and talented PCB Layout Engineer, with electronics test bench experience, to support the design, development, and integration of electronic systems and components for quantum technology products. The PCB Layout Engineer will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers, contributing to the advancement of Infleqtion's innovative solutions in quantum computing and sensing.

- Design and layout complex multi-layer PCBs using Altium Designer.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to translate schematic designs into efficient, manufacturable PCB layouts.
- Ensure that designs adhere to industry standards, including signal integrity, thermal management, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Create and maintain PCB design libraries and documentation.
- Follow product lifecycle procedures and contribute to integrating Altium with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
- Optimize layouts for power distribution, high-speed digital, and sensitive analog circuits.
- Participate in design reviews with colleagues.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in PCB layout design
- Strong proficiency with industry-standard CAD tools for PCB design.
- Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and IPC standards
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC design principles
- Experience performing board bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting of PCBs
- Adept at using various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, etc.
- Experienced with soldering and re-working circuit boards as needed for testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience analyzing test results and provide detailed reports, including recommendations for product improvements.
- Strong proficiency in Altium Designer
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python or C.
